An Indiana animal shelter is encouraging Pokemon Go players to walk its shelter dogs while playing the mobile app game.
The Muncie Animal Shelter posted an open invitation on its Facebook page Wednesday.

“Come out to the Muncie Animal Shelter between 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. any day and walk an adoptable dog as you hunt for Pokemon and hatch eggs!” the post says.
“Just go to the front desk and say you are here for the Pokemon dogs!”

Pokemon Go has exploded in popularity, and it certainly gets people out and about — one Regina man told Global News he’s walked more than 70 kilometres and lost about 10 pounds in the span of a week.
This week the app eclipsed What’sApp and Instagram in daily usage.
