A motorcycle rider survived a serious accident in Surrey on Wednesday and the force of the collision was so great, it split his motorcycle in half.
The rider was heading east on Highway 10 at about 10:50 a.m. and according to witnesses, he crossed into oncoming traffic after trying to pass a vehicle.
The motorcycle struck a minivan and the rider was thrown 30 feet.
He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and Surrey RCMP officers say he is lucky to be alive.
