Teens ride away on BMX bikes stolen in Saskatoon street robbery

Two teens were robbed of their BMX bikes by three other teens in a Saskatoon street robbery, one who was allegedly armed with an axe. File / Global News

Police are looking for the teens who rode away on bicycles they stole from two teens in a Saskatoon street robbery.

The robbery happened on Tuesday just after 9 p.m. CT in the 3500-block of John A. Macdonald Road.

According to police, the two teens were approached by three other teens. One was allegedly armed with an axe and threatened the teens.

Two teens then made off with the bikes – an all black GT BMX and a red GT BMX – while the third fled on foot.

They were last seen in the park between Confederation Park School and Bishop Roborecki School.

A police dog was unsuccessful in tracking the three teens.

The teen who took off on the black GT BMX is described as being an indigenous 17-year-old, wearing a black ball cap and either a black hoodie or jacket. He was armed with an axe.

The teen who rode off on the red GT BMX is described as being an indigenous 17-year-old. He was wearing a ball cap and a grey/white hoodie.

The teen who fled on foot is described as being an Caucasion teen between 15 and 17. He was wearing a green ball cap, white t-shirt and black pants.
