It’s a sure sign that summer has arrived in the north Okanagan. Hundreds of cadets have descended on the Vernon Cadet Training Centre.
This year over 1,700 cadets will come through the camp over the course of the summer.

That is a big increase from recent years when the number of attendees fluctuated around 1,300.
The Vernon facility is picking up some of the slack after a cadet camp in Alberta shut its doors.
