Air Canada Express flight AC7212 landed safely at around 7:20 a.m., but a spokesperson for Air Canada said the “nose gear collapsed when the aircraft came to a stop.”

“We recognize that this would have been disconcerting to passengers, and can confirm that our regional Express partners are trained to handle events such as this and to look after our customers with care,” Angela Mah said in an email to Global News.

The flight, operated by Air Georgian, was travelling from Lethbridge to Calgary.

According to Mah, Air Georgian is inspecting the aircraft and will be “taking care of its maintenance as required.”

Fifteen people were on board the plane, a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft.
