Emergency responders are en route to Cape Split, N.S. where a female reportedly fell over a cliff on Saturday.
She is believed to be 26 years-old and is conscious, RCMP Cpl. Andrew Joyce said. The extent of her injuries are unknown and she is not in the water.
RCMP, EHS, ground search and rescue, and a Joint Task Force Atlantic cormorant helicopter have all been deployed to the scene.
The helicopter is coming from PEI, Navy spokesperson Lt. Christine Hurov said. Its not clear when the cormorant will arrive.
The emergency call was made at 1:46 p.m., Joyce said.
Cape Split is on the Bay of Fundy in Kings County, Nova Scotia. The trail is popular with tourists and locals alike who go to see the world famous tides. The cliffs are not fenced in and are actively eroding due to the power of the tides.
