Police arrest Winnipeg man wanted on a Canada wide warrant in Thunder Bay, Ontario

WINNIPEG — A Winnipeg man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested in Northwestern Ontario.

The warrant for 48-year-old Robert Paul Gillis was issued over the weekend because his parole had been revoked.

He was also suspected in the sexual assault of a 25-year-old woman on Saturday, on Henderson Highway near Chief Peguis Trail.

Gillis was arrested by officers in Thunder Bay Thursday morning without incident.
