Police are looking for a person suspected of stabbing a 26-year-old man on a Vancouver street earlier this month.
According to the VPD, the victim was walking along Commercial Drive with two friends when a man on a bike near Grant Street approached the group from behind.
As the male suspect on the bike rode by, he allegedly stabbed the victim in the back. The victim was taken to hospital, where he stayed overnight and was treated for damage to his lung and diaphragm.

Police said the victim is not known to police and he did not know his attacker. It is believed the stabbing may have been motivated by a brief verbal altercation that happened minutes earlier, a few blocks away, between the suspect and victim.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, 20 to 25 years old, under six feet tall with a short buzz-cut hair style. He was wearing a black-hooded jacket, jeans, a white Nike shirt and was riding a dark-coloured mountain bike.
Anyone with information about the person in the picture or the incident is asked to call the Vancouver Police or Crime Stoppers.
