In a release, Prince George RCMP said:

Although the motives for these incidents are still under investigation, they appear to be conflicts centered around illegal activities. Our focus has been and will remain not only to determine “who” is involved, but “why”. A strong focus will also be to deter and disrupt further violence, as well as apprehending those who are responsible. These violent acts are completely intolerable and all available police assets at the Prince George Municipal Detachment will be utilized to combat and target those involved.
