In the legislature Wednesday, Opposition leader Trent Wotherspoon said youth unemployment is 38 per cent higher than it was ten years ago.

He said for those with a college or trade school education, unemployment is up 47 per cent.

He said the Saskatchewan Party has a poor record in creating jobs for young people.

Premier Brad Wall said despite some significant commodity price pressures, the province posted the second lowest unemployment rate in Canada.

He said there have been over 45,000 new jobs created since his party came to power and though there’s more work to be done, the province has never been stronger.
