RCMP are investigating a road range incident that took place at the Nanaimo ferry terminal over the weekend.
A 65-year-old man from Surrey became upset when he learned there was a three-sailing wait to get on the ferry Sunday afternoon.
He refused to move his car when asked by B.C. Ferries traffic control.

An officer tried to talk to the man and convince him to leave. Instead, the man drove his vehicle into a sidewalk.
When asked to produce his registration and driver’s licence, the suspect drove off. His car was found nearby a short time later.
As the suspect was being arrested for obstruction, the driver put the car into gear and attempted to drive off again.
The arresting officer was extremely concerned for pedestrian and traffic safety in the area so he jumped into the car and put the car into park.
Additional officers were required to assist with the arrest.
Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with video of the incident to please contact them.
