It’s been four years in the making and now the $4.1 billion K+S Potash Canada (KSPC) mine near Bethune, Sask. is almost complete.
More than 100 employees have moved into permanent jobs and 4,500 construction workers have helped create it since construction stated in June 2012.
“Many milestones have been achieved to get us where we are today – close to being fully operational,” said Sam Farris, vice-president and general manager of operations.
“Now, we’re all looking forward to commissioning the mine end of August and producing our first tonne by the end of the year.”
