Both charges stemming from a woman’s death 30 years ago were stayed in a Saskatchewan courtroom Wednesday. Dennis Henry Hahn, 66, was facing charges of first-degree murder and unlawful confinement.
On Dec. 14, 1985, two masked men entered Frances Wendland’s home in Rosthern, Sask.

Three female youths in the house were locked in a bathroom and upon escaping, they found Wendland dead.
Hahn was arrested by RCMP in Surrey, B.C., in July 2015.
A second man was arrested in 1990 and convicted of the crime.
