3 lambs shot in the neck in southern Alberta

RCMP are searching for the person responsible for shooting and killing three lambs in southern Alberta.

Officers were alerted to the incident on Monday by the livestock owner who made the grisly discovery.

Police believe the suspect used a small caliber rifle to shoot the animals from the side of the road off 690 Avenue, south of Cayley. It’s thought the shooting occurred sometime between Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.

Anyone with information is asked to call High River RCMP at (403) 652-2357 or contact Crime Stoppers.

The hamlet of Cayley is located about 90 kilometres south of Calgary.
