Taxi fees may soon by on the rise in Saskatoon.
A city committee will vote Monday on a request to hike rates by six per cent starting Aug. 1.

If approved, it would mean another 75 cents for every five kilometre ride. Those paying by debit could see a 90 cent transaction fee added to their fare.
The changes have been requested by the taxi industry. The last rate change was in 2011.
The rate hike would still need to be approved by city council.
