“It appears that she was trying to cross the tracks when the train was coming,” Acting Sgt. Dave DenTandt said.

EMS were able to free the victim and rush her to hospital with lower-body injuries.

Police are in the process of reviewing CCTV surveillance footage to determine more details.

“It’s too early to tell why she was trying to cross the tracks… we’ll be following up with that,” DenTandt said.

The incident caused the temporary closure of CTrain service in the downtown core.
