Police in the Spanish city of Huesca who are more familiar with corralling criminals, found themselves rounding up over 1,000 sheep on Tuesday after the shepherd who was tending them fell asleep.

Local residents alerted police after spotting the flock marching through the centre of the city.
The herd was being led to summer pastures in Spain’s Pyrenees mountains when the shepherd dozed off, allowing the mob to wander off.
Police were able to herd the livestock and return them to their shepherd before he even noticed they were missing.
Video of the invasion was posted to the police department’s Facebook page and shows the sheep encircling one of the city’s roundabouts.
Huesca, the capital of the province of the same name, is located along the French border and has a population of 53,000 people.
