SIMCOE, Ont. – Police say a toddler who fell out of a second-floor window in Simcoe, Ont., suffered minor injuries.
Provincial police say a two-year-old boy climbed a dresser that was placed near a window in his room on Tuesday afternoon.
They say he leaned against the screen and fell out of the window, landing on the concrete below.
Police say they don’t believe the incident was criminal in nature and no charges will be laid.
However, they say, the Children’s Aid Society has been notified.
Investigators are reminding parents and caregivers to install child safety locks and keep furniture away from windows.
