WINNIPEG — It’s going to be a warm and sunny day in southern Manitoba Monday – but enjoy it while it lasts. The region is in for significant rainfall for the next two days.
Monday will be sunny with a high of 24 C in Winnipeg, and then the rain is expected to begin overnight.
A developing low pressure system Monday evening is expected to bring significant rain Tuesday and Wednesday for parts of southern Manitoba.
Up to 30 mm is expected for areas closer to Winnipeg. In the southwestern parts of Manitoba, closer to 50 mm of rain could be seen. Those numbers may fluctuate if the expected thunderstorms move in.
The rain should push out of our system by Wednesday evening.
Expect to see sun on Thursday, with the temperature closer to our normal high for this time of year.
