In just a few months Rogers Place will open to the public. The downtown arena has been pegged as the cornerstone building in a plan to revitalize Edmonton’s downtown through the development of an Ice District.

The 18,500-seat arena will open in September. In addition to the Edmonton Oilers moving there from Rexall Place, the downtown arena will host big name musical acts.
The first concert announced for the new facility was Keith Urban, who along with Dallas Smith and Maren Morris will take the stage on Friday, September 16. Several other acts have been announced, including Dolly Parton, Drake, the Dixie Chicks, and Florida Georgia Line.

The last time the public got a look inside the arena was back in January, when hundreds of people lined up for hours in the cold for the opportunity to get an early glimpse inside the facility.

The public will gets its first look at the completed Rogers Place during an open house on Saturday, Sept. 10.

- Casino/Oilers Entertainment Group Offices – September 2016
- Edmonton Office Tower – November 2016
- JW Marriott Hotel – Summer 2018
- Legends Residential Tower – Spring 2019
- Stantec Office Tower – Fall 2018
- Stantec Residential Units – Summer 2019
- Stantec Tower Retail Podium – Fall 2018
Rogers Place is scheduled to open in September, 2016, in time for the Edmonton Oilers 2016-2017 season.
