Oh deer! A woodland creature lost and on the loose!
A doe was covering a lot of ground in Halifax’s downtown and south end on Wednesday afternoon.
In videos posted to Twitter, the deer is seen frantically running through traffic and on residential streets.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, the deer made its way from Spring Garden Road all the way to St. Mary’s University.
According to Twitter user @hfxroberts, the deer was frightened as it ran through the streets, almost striking vehicles.
DNR officials were warning the public not to try to try to corral or chase the deer, but to instead report the location to the department.
