Police are asking for public’s assistance after hit and run involving toddler

REGINA – At approximately 7:20 p.m. on Friday, police were called to the corner of 8th avenue and Athol Street for reports of a hit and run.

Police say a 48 year old woman and a 4 year old girl were crossing a marked crosswalk, attempting to go to Dewdney Park when they were hit by a high speeding vehicle travelling westbound.

The 4-year-old sustained minor injuries after coming into contact with the vehicle. Police say the vehicle took off in a westbound direction on 8th avenue.

Police are searching for a red car and are not releasing any other information at this time.
