Road rage assault with ‘bat-shaped object’ leaves N.S. man with broken arm

A Nova Scotia man has a broken arm after being struck with an “object in the shape of a bat” in a road-rage incident on Wednesday.

RCMP say a 42-year-old Dartmouth man was tailgating the victim’s vehicle in his truck.

Police say the victim pulled over to allow the truck to pass, however the driver of the truck got out and confronted the victim.

The men engaged in a brief verbal dispute before the altercation turned physical, with the victim being struck and his arm  broken.

The driver of the truck is facing charges of assault with a weapon and is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury provincial court on Aug. 3.
