Craig Mintuck has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Saskatoon’s sixth homicide of 2014. Police were initially called to a home in the 200-block of 26th Street West on Oct. 8, 2014.
Officers found Albert Gardipy, 32, suffering from stab wounds.

He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Mintuck was originally charged with second-degree murder in the case.
In court on Thursday, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge and was sentenced to 15 years in prison with no chance of parole for seven years.
