REGINA – Regina police officers had to taser a man Wednesday night in order to get him into custody after he was threatening to harm himself.
Police were called to the 3000 block of Assiniboine Ave. to respond to a report of a man who was believed to be a danger to himself.

Officers found the 33-year-old man in a garage. Police say the man would not listen to officers and a scuffle ensued when they tried to arrest him. One of the officers used his taser on the man to get him into custody.
The man apparently suffered no significant injuries. He is facing two charges of assaulting a police officer.
