SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Air Support Unit (ASU) helped police on Monday when they noticed a licence plate didn’t match the vehicle it was affixed to. At around 2:15 a.m. CT, patrol officers witnessed the suspicious truck in the 100-block of Avenue O South.
Officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver refused to stop and evaded police.

Members of ASU were able to spot the vehicle from their plane and witnessed the truck stop near an apartment building at Avenue P and 33rd Street.
Police say two people from the stolen vehicle fled into the apartment. A 38-year-old man was found inside the laundry room.
He is facing charges of dangerous driving, evading police, obstruction and two counts of possession of stolen property. The man is expected to be seen by a justice of the peace Monday evening.
