WINNIPEG — The city broke a 90-year-old record Thursday when temperatures hit 35.2 Celsius.
By Friday morning the thermometer in Winnipeg had dropped 20 C and in Churchill there was snow.

The good news for the northern Manitoba town is it’s supposed to warm up to 1 C, normal for this time of year.
In fact weather across much of southern Manitoba this weekend will be seasonal, or slightly above normal. But it’s still a stark contrast to the record breaking temperatures Thursday.
The high in Winnipeg should hit 22 C.
