Winnipeg police asking for help after armed thieves steal narcotics from Shoppers Drug Mart

WINNIPEG — Armed robbers made off with a “significant” quantity of drugs from a Shoppers Drug Mart on Portage Avenue.

At 6:30 a.m. officers responded to reports of a robbery in the 2500 block of Portage Ave. at a Shoppers Drug Mart.

Two male suspects armed with handguns entered the business and demanded narcotics. They were able to get away from the area before officers arrived on scene.

No one was injured in the incident.

Winnipeg police are asking for help finding the suspects. Description below:

  • First suspect: Male in his late 30’s, early 40’s standing 5’9″ with an average build. He was described as having light brown eyes.
  • Second suspect: Male standing about 6′ tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was described as having dark eyebrows with close set eyes.
