ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – A Brampton, Ont. man is facing nine charges in an alleged case of human trafficking that took place in the Niagara area.
Niagara Regional police say they began investigating in February after allegations surfaced involving incidents taking place in late 2015 and early 2016.
They say Peel Regional Police assisted them in their investigation, but provided no details of the alleged incident.
Joshua Thomas, 25, is facing charges including human trafficking, two counts of assault, choking and uttering threats.
