REGINA – A 15-year-old Regina youth is facing mischief charges after a vehicle near F.W. Johnson Collegiate was damaged on Tuesday.
Initial reports suggested that the youth may be carrying a gun which forced the high School and two elementary schools to go into “secure the building” mode.
When the teen was located he did not have a gun.
According to Regina police, a staff member at an elementary school on the 2800 block of Dewdney Avenue witnessed a boy breaking a car window on Monday afternoon, at around 2:50 p.m.

The youth who cannot be named is charged with Mischief under $5,000 for the damage of the vehicle. The teen will make his first court appearance on June 9.
