After playing coy for months and sidestepping questions about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming Baywatch movie, Canadian actress and former Playmate Pamela Anderson has finally confirmed she’ll be appearing in the remake.
The Rock announced Anderson’s involvement in a post on Instagram, saying it’s “a pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our Baywatch cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you.”
Anderson played the part of C.J. Parker in the original Baywatch TV series for over five years, and starred in 111 episodes.
At this juncture it’s not known what part Anderson will play, but it was previously announced that relative newcomer Kelly Rohrbach will be taking on the Parker role.
Anderson isn’t the only original cast member to return to the beach; original series lead David Hasselhoff has also signed on to the project. The Rock will be playing Hasselhoff’s character, Mitch Buchanan.
The film also stars Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario, in addition to Priyanka Chopra, who has signed on as the villain.
‘Baywatch’ is slated to open in theatres on May 19, 2017.
