Accused Winnipeg letter bomber, Guido Amsel, appears in court for bail review

WINNIPEG — Accused letter bomber Guido Amsel made an appearance in court for a bail review Wednesday.

Amsel appeared significantly thinner and smiled and waved to his family as he entered the courtroom.

Martin Glazer, Amsel’s lawyer is looking to have a judge reverse a decision to deny Amsel bail back in September of 2015.

Amsel was charged with three counts of attempted murder along with explosive related offences in July 2015 after bombs were sent to three Winnipeg businesses in the mail.
