WINNIPEG – If you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family, this weekend is a great opportunity.
Pet Valu stores across Canada will have rescue animals in store that you can meet and take home from April 15 to 17.
It’s national adoption weekend, which means you can spend time getting to know the rescue animals.
Families can also speak with staff at the stores to see if the dog or cats would be the right fit for their family.
If you can’t take a stray animal home, you can also make a donation to animal shelters in need of volunteers in Winnipeg.
The animals on Global News Morning can be found at either 200 Meadowood Drive or 50 Sage Creek Boulevard.
