A man dubbed the “Hamburglar” became an unintentional internet celebrity when police released security footage of him making himself a cheeseburger after he allegedly broke into a Five Guys restaurant in Washington, D.C in March.
And now another restaurant is offering the person of interest a year of free burgers if he turns himself in.

John Eucalitto, president of American burger chain Wayback Burgers said in a statement on Tuesday:
“To that gentleman, I’d like to say that we all make mistakes – from committing this illegal act to your choice of burgers. I strongly encourage you to do the right thing and turn yourself in right away. After you take accountability for your actions, Wayback Burgers will give you FREE burgers for one year. It’s not too late to turn it around based on what you did.”
Eucalitto told the Washington City Paper that he would agree to provide the so-called Hamburglar one free Triple Triple burger a week – a sandwich with nine patties and nine slices of cheese.
“That should be more than enough to keep him full and satisfy his cravings so he doesn’t do it again,” he said.
So far the Hamburglar hasn’t responded and he remains at large.
Authorities said the incident classified as burglary in the second degree, which could result in two to 15 years in prison.
