TORONTO – Over one thousand soccer balls will be used in an attempt to beat a Guinness World Record for the largest soccer ball mosaic in the world at Yonge and Dundas square on Thursday.
The Bank of Montreal will attempt to beat the current record , a 47.7 metres squared mosaic made entirely of soccer balls, in order to raise $10,000 for Kids Help Phone.
But giant mosaics made of sports equipment are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Guinness World Records; in fact, some consist of activities the average person would never think of.

1. The most two finger push ups (one arm) in one minute
This feat of strength was completed by Mohammed Mohammed Ali Zienhom from Egypt, on March 8, 2010. He managed to complete 46 push ups, in 49 seconds, using the pointer finger and thumb on his right hand.
2. The most golf balls hit simultaneously
An impressive 1, 873 golf balls were hit simultaneously at the Real Federacion Español de Golf course, in Spain, on September 27, 2009. The record was set in support of Madrid’s bid for the 2016 Olympics.
3. The farthest milk squirting distance
This strange record was set by Ilker Yilmaz from Turkey, for squirting milk a distance of 9 feet 2 inches from his eye, on September 1, 2004.
4. The fastest time to enter a suitcase
Leslie Tipton, from the U.S., stuffed herself into a suitcase in the record setting time of 5.43 seconds on September 14, 2009, on the LIVE! with Regis & Kelly show.
5. Most Wii Play table tennis volleys
This nerdy record is held by Kevin Connor, from the U.S., for the most volleys in a game of Wii Play Table. Connor managed 285 consecutive return shots on July 16, 2009.
