UPDATE – Kelowna bank robber caught on camera

 

UPDATE – Police have released security camera photographs of the Kelowna bank robber.

The suspect is described as:
• Caucasian male
• 20 to 30 years of age
• 5′ 4″ to 5′ 6″ tall
• Slim build
• Wearing a black sweater, black toque, black sunglasses, black gloves and jeans
• Having a large, dark-coloured tattoo with red shading on the left side of his neck

The robber indicated he had a weapon but did not show one.

Police say there are indications a dye pack exploded which could have left the money and the suspect marked with red dye.

 

KELOWNA – An unauthorized withdrawal was made from a Kelowna bank Monday morning.

Just before 10:00 a.m., the CIBC branch on KLO Road near Richter Street was robbed by a man.

A witness tells Global Okanagan News the robber did not produce a weapon and fled with some cash.

Many customers were unaware what was happening.

RCMP swarmed the area but it does not appear an arrest was made.
