WATCH: Loveita was "blindsided" by her 'Big Brother Canada' eviction – Apr 4, 2016

When a double eviction took place on Big Brother Canada and former enemies Loveita and Kelsey were put up on the block and booted out of the house, no one knew that they were actually sequestered in their own room. At the end of Thursday’s episode, the houseguests were told about the situation, and they were tasked with unanimously voting which one of the women would be voted back into the house.

After minimal debate, the more popular choice, Kelsey, was decided upon, and she’s now back in the BBCAN Grand. Unfortunately, that means the end for the strategy-obsessed Loveita.

Global News spoke with Adams about her drawn-out eviction, her unexpected showmance with Kelsey, and the now-infamous backdoor by Maddy.

Global News: How shocked are you to be evicted, when Maddy backdoored you?
Loveita Adams: I was definitely blindsided, because I was there for Maddy, and I expressed that to her. After she nominated Jared and Raul, I heard her whisper in Jared’s ear. I knew right away, I had a funny feeling this was coming.

Do you think you could have gone all the way?
I believe that I could have, yes. I think Big Brother is a little bit of luck, strategy and connections in the house. The cards fell this way for me, and with double and triple evictions, you can’t always secure your safety.

What are your thoughts on being evicted?
I was disappointed because the people who could’ve stopped my eviction were people I supported. Definitely leading up to the eviction, I was feeling confused, and I didn’t really think that those individuals would come for me.

Who/what do you think was most responsible for your eviction, and why?
Believe it or not, I feel like it was Cassandra and the brothers. I know Maddy put me up, but she obviously had reason, and there must’ve been some coaxing from someone. Cassandra is very good at talking to people and I do believe she was in Maddy’s ear. I feel like the brothers knew that Maddy was going to put me up and could have not used the veto, and maybe I could have stayed in the house.

What was the hardest thing to deal with in the BBCAN house?
The emotions, and having to put on a face. In that house, in order for your game to continue, after every eviction and every discussion, you have to be able to smile. You have to continue building relationships, but it’s hard to do when you feel you can’t trust someone. AND no alone time. You’re always surrounded by people, and you don’t have any time to centre yourself. It can be really overwhelming.

Any regrets?
Yes. I regret not backdooring the brothers. I stopped Dallas from using the veto when the house wanted to vote the brothers out to keep them safe, because I trusted them. At the double eviction, they used the veto so I could be backdoored and evicted. That says to me that I should have voted them out when I had the chance.

Any predictions on what’s going to happen and who’s going to take it all?
I predict Joel, Kelsey, Jared and Raul all have a chance of making it pretty far. I think that if they’re smart with how they’re playing the game, Kelsey can take it. I’d love to see Joel at the end.

Would you consider your new relationship with Kelsey a showmance?
It’s a girlmance! She’s somebody I’m so excited to see outside of the show. I’m going to be rooting for her and cheering her on.

Are you surprised they didn’t choose you to go back into the house over Kelsey?
From a game standpoint, to me it seemed foolish that they didn’t choose me. When I was evicted, it was a 7-2 vote, and Dallas (who’s gone) was one of the two. To me, it doesn’t make sense that you wouldn’t bring me back… if you really wanted to win the $100,000. I’m happy that Kelsey went back in, though, because she’ll give them a run for their money. I had a hand in preparing her.

So she’s kind of taking a piece of you back in with her?
Yes. Kelsey is taking a piece of my mind, a piece of me, and everything I wanted to be able to work out in that house. I think she’s going to do golden.
