RCMP looking for man who allegedly chased two young girls

Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of a suspicious man in Lakeside on Thursday evening.

Police say two young girls, aged 11 and 12, were approached by a man in a truck on North Green Road around 6:30 p.m.

According to RCMP, the man stopped his truck, got out of his vehicle and chased the two girls on foot for a short distance.

The children hid near a house until the man left the area.

Police say the man was alone at the time of the incident. He is described as being white, around 30-years-old with short brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket and black sunglasses at the time of the incident.

The only description available for the man’s vehicle is that it was a dark coloured pick-up truck with a regular cab and tinted windows.
