WATCH: ‘Even though you’re a her I still love you’: little girl’s reaction to her dad’s transition

A little girl is showing the world what acceptance truly looks like when she reacted to the news that her father is transgender.

Shalee Olivia Ellis in Pennsylvania filmed her six-year-old daughter Layla when she was explaining that her dad was not happy as a male.

Layla said the news made her feel “good.”

“Daddy is a her?” Layla asked her mom. She then looked at the camera and said, “Daddy, I love you so much. Even though you’re a her, I still love you.”

Layla’s father, Mallory Mae Ellis, decided to come out on social media saying she’s been suppressing her feelings of femininity all her life.

The Pennsylvania couple decided to share the news after they went on a date to buy daddy some new clothes and makeup.

The video was posted to Facebook last week but it was originally filmed in January. The video has now gone viral with more than 50,000 views.
