Winnipeg golf course swings open for business Tuesday

WINNIPEG — Time to dust off those golf clubs and hit the links; Shooters Family Golf Centre is officially opening for the season Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The golf course was supposed to open next week, but staff decided to take the tarps off the greens a little earlier this year because of the mild weather.

“The phone has been ringing off the hook with people asking when are we opening,” said Shooters’ events coordinator, Amy Cerasani.

The driving range has been open for around three weeks now, but today the full course is open to golfers itching to get in their practice swings.

“The staff worked tirelessly last night to make sure it was open today,” Cerasani said.

Shooters is located at 2731 Main Street and will be open every day for the season – weather permitting.
