Winnipeg police investigate ‘suspicious item’ near Portage Place

WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are on scene at the 400 block of Webb Place investigating a “suspicious” item Tuesday morning.

Emergency responders were called to Promenade Place Apartments, behind Portage Place, at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police remain tight lipped on what the suspicious item is and have closed off parts of the area.
