MONTREAL – The driver of a stolen vehicle was taken to hospital Saturday morning after suffering serious injuries in a crash on Highway 25 North near Terrbonne.
According to Anne Mathieu, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, the crash happened shortly before midnight on Friday near the Montée Masson exit.
The driver of the stolen car lost control and struck two other vehicles, before ending up in the ditch by the side of the road.
Police said that the three passengers in the stolen vehicle fled the scene leaving the injured driver inside.
He was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Mathieu confirmed that the three suspects who fled the scene were located and apprehended with the help of local police officers from Mascouche and Terrebonne.
The three minors are being questioned by investigators.
The remaining suspect will be questioned as soon as his medical condition allows.
It is too soon in the investigation to say what charges will be laid in the case.
