Boundaries: The Maples is located in the northern tip of Winnipeg. The riding is bordered Mollard Road to the north, city limits to the west, Pipeline Road to the east and part of Inkster Boulvard to the south.
Last Election: The NDP’s Saran defeated the Tories by nearly 2,000 votes, 51-25 per cent.

History: The Maples holds one of the largest immigration populations in the city. It became a riding just over 20 years ago. It was a Liberal riding for its first decade and has been NDP for the last 17 years.
