Officials say a Texas mother has been charged after her two-year-old daughter was badly burned in a hot oven.
The Somervell County Sheriff’s Office was called to the woman’s home after reports late Thursday that a child had suffered burns.
The sheriff’s office said witnesses told deputies that 35-year-old Tasha Shontell Hatcher said she’d put her child in the oven.

Hatcher was charged with causing serious bodily harm to a child and arraigned Saturday. Bond was set at $300,000.
Texas Child Protective Services spokeswoman Marissa Gonzales says the child has been taken into their custody and will be placed in foster care when released from hospital.
The toddler is in stable condition. She suffered second- and third-degree burns.
