LÉVIS, Que. – The Desjardins Group elected a new president at a closed-door meeting in Levis Saturday morning.
Guy Cormier, was chosen amongst three candidates as the group’s new president and CEO.

He takes over from Monique F. Leroux, who headed the organization for 8 years.
Cormier, 46, has been with Desjardins since 1992, steadily moving his way up the ranks.
He will officially start his four-year term April 9, as the Desjardins Group holds its next annual general meeting.
The Desjardins Group is the largest association of credit unions in North America.
