There’s late, and then there’s very, very late.

At a concert in Melbourne, Australia on March 10, pop legend Madonna showed up on stage four hours late; she was scheduled to start around 8:30 p.m. local time, but appeared on stage around 12:50 a.m. Fans waited in the rain and then complained that the singer seemed drunk, depressed and erratic.

Madonna, 57, is currently on her Rebel Heart tour, and is calling her “intimate” performance Tears of a Clown. The singer has been in the news recently as she’s undergoing a custody battle with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie over their 15-year-old son, Rocco.

The March 10 show was a precursor for her March 12 show, two days later, which was also in Melbourne. While she showed up relatively on time, she had a bizarre meltdown onstage, which some are attributing to the custody unpleasantness.

“Someone please take care of me, please,” she exclaimed. “Who is going to take care of me?”

Wearing a top hat and a corset, she reportedly appeared unsteady as she tumbled around onstage riding a tricycle.

After she fell, she sprawled spread-eagled on the stage and told the crowd that she “messed up,” saying “You would think it was in my DNA.”

Later on she continued to plead with the audience, even asking, “Please, someone f- -k me,” before deadpanning: “I’m just kidding. I don’t have to ask for that.”

After dedicating a song to Rocco, she said, “If I have learned one thing in my life, it is this — just go with it. If you relax, it doesn’t hurt as much,” she said.

According to The Daily Mail, she also blasted Ritchie, 47, calling him a “son of a bitch.”

TMZ.com secured video and photos showing Madonna downing what appears to be a bottle of vodka, and then later swigging from a flask.

The Rebel Heart tour will end after her Australian dates, after which she will take some time off. A hearing in the custody case has been scheduled in Manhattan Supreme Court for June 16.
