CALGARY – Less than a year ago, Natasha Gould was diagnosed with a highly aggressive brain tumour.
She was diagnosed on the same day she was trying out for a spot with the Calgary Stars Cheerleading Club.
Saturday, the 12-year-old Calgary girl had her dream come true.
Natasha got to take part in the Stampede City Showdown competition at Mount Royal University and she was made an honorary member of the team.
“She was invited back to join the group as an honorary member a month ago. She’s been practicing and she just loves it,” said Saskia Gould, Natasha’s mom.
“You know this past year, it’s been quite a year and we’ve had lots of ups and downs and this is a big up,” said Bill Gould, Natasha’s dad.
