Saskatoon police investigating suspicious death of man

UPDATE: Homicide investigation finds Saskatoon woman forced to defend herself

SASKATOON – The death of a 29-year-old man is under investigation in Saskatoon. Shortly after 1 a.m. CT on Friday, officers were called to the 1500-block of Preston Avenue South regarding a report of an injured man.

The victim was taken to hospital by MD Ambulance where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released at this time.

Saskatoon police are calling the death suspicious.

A 36-year-old woman is in custody.

The police’s major crime and forensic identification units are investigating.
