TORONTO – Plan ahead, March Break travellers; Pearson International Airport is expecting a record number of passengers Friday.
Long lines were already developing early as the first of an anticipated 120,000 travelers arrived for the busy getaway day.
The airport promises it’s doing everything possible to keep things running smoothly, but urges travellers to be patient and allow extra time to negotiate ticketing and security lines.

The airport recommends allowing two hours for domestic flights and three hours for international. As usual, it’s advisable to check your flight status before even heading to Pearson, either online or with the Toronto Pearson mobile app.
“Our passengers are our passion at Toronto Pearson and we’ve been working hard to get ready for these busier March Break days,” spokesman Scott Collier said in a statement.
Collier added that the airport boasts a new stores, a pharmacy, free Wi-Fi, activity kits for kids and other amenities to ease long wait times.
Kids under 10 years old can also eat for free at selected restaurants in the departure terminal.
