UPDATE – Two men critically injured in ATV crash

UPDATE – RCMP say the two riders were rushed to hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The victims are a 46-year-old Lake Country man and a 42-year-old Kelowna man.

Police have seized the ATV for a mechanical inspection.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.

LAKE COUNTRY, B.C. – RCMP accident re-constructionists were at a serious ATV accident scene in Oyama Thursday afternoon.

The B.C. Ambulance Service confirms two people were sent to hospital, one taken by ground ambulance in unknown condition, another air-lifted to hospital in serious condition.

The ATV left Oyama Lake Road at 2:30 p.m. crashing down a steep embankment into trees.

Information from RCMP about the investigation has yet to be released.
